Julie Smith and me...no story

I went to Mac World in 1993. I paid my ticket fee and went in to see what it was all about. I was in Boston, one of the best places to be for computer based stuff to occur. I had used a computer since 1989 or so, and had always us an Apple.

Produced by Boston-based IDG World Expo, Macworld is a trade-show with conference tracks dedicated to the Apple Macintosh platform. It is held annually in the United Statesduring January. Originally Macworld Expo and then Macworld Conference & Exposition, the gathering dates back to 1985.

The conference tracks are taught by leaders in their fields and require large admission fees. They last for a few more days than the Expo, which runs generally three or four days. Attendees can visit the exhibits, set up by hardware manufacturers and software publishers that support the Macintosh platform.

On December 18, 2008, Apple announced that the 2009 Macworld Conference & Expo would be the last in which the company participates. The first Macworld Expo occurred in 1985 in San Francisco.

In 1993 I attended Mac World in Boston, and I met Julie Smith.

This highly controversial conference featured a number of less than appropriate booths relating to the porn, or at least the soft porn industry, and if I’m not mistaken, this focus was abandoned after that year.

Julie Kristen Smith (born August 18, 1967 in Nuremburg Germany) is an American actress. She was Penthouse Pet of the Month for February 1993. She was appearing at Mac World signing autographed photos, and planting wet kisses on photos with very red lipstick covered lips. The kiss has all but disappeared over the years as the red fades after a few decades. The print is under the word kisses on the left side of the photo.

Smith appeared in a number of mainstream Hollywood films and B-movies before settling into the world of soft core pornography. She had an early starring role in the 1986 sex comedy Pretty Smart alongside Patricia Arquette as a rich sexpot at a private school in Greece, but her other roles in mainstream films of the late 1980s and early 1990s were minor.

With her entry into the soft core films came more leading roles. She became a staple of the soft core scene in the late 1990s, appearing in Erotic Confessions, The Bare Wench Project series, and several films such as LETHAL-Ladies Return to Savage Beach.

Smith announced her retirement from acting in 2005, after the completion of The Witches of Breatwick; however, in 2007, she again began making films.

There is no real story here as I only met her long enough to get the photo, but I managed to save it and only unearthed it yesterday.
